El Zafiro es la piedra oficial del mes de Septiembre. Proveniente de la palabra griega “sapphirus” que significa azul, el Zafiro ha sido una de las gemas preferidas entre curas y reyes, quienes lo consideraban como símbolo de inteligencia y pureza.
Ancient civilizations believed that the world was set upon an enormous sapphire, which painted the sky blue with its reflection. Esta magnifica gema también se viene en muchos otros colores: no solo en un transparente gris azulado de un horizonte lejano sino también en el glorioso juego de luces de un atardecer, con tonos amarillos, rosas, naranjas y morado.
