To my pleasant surprise June 8th is the Oceans’ International Day to remind us of their importance. Without going into detail like an expert, we can conclude that aside from the fact that they contain life and provide largely to the global economy, the importance of these falls into that half of the oxygen our planet needs comes from them.

Unfortunately neglection, pollution, over-fishing are just some of the problems that we can mention and calls us to an early awareness to do one’s bit. "There's enough on this planet for everyone's needs but not for everyone's greed" - M. Gandhi

– M. Gandhi

How can you care for the oceans? • Do not leave trash on the beaches or sea. If there is something you did not throw away, but you can collect, please do.
• Learn more about endangered sea species, and do not consume. Remember that without consumers there will be eventually no offer. Here's an example: http://www.greenpeace.org/international/seafood/red-list-of-species/how-on-the-red-list
• Supports social causes related to the care of the sea, it is very likely that you will take a couple of hours and enjoy it. • Discuss the care of the ocean with friends and acquaintances, we can all contribute.

Very important post (and pretty earrings)... have you heard of the movie Sharkwater? I saw it at school a few months ago and it brings up a lot of similar points... the oceans are not only beautiful but critically important to our survival and we're not treating them well at all. If you're interested:
