By
prendasbyenid

- Materials/ Materiales

- Two beads / Dos cuentas o piedras
- Two eyepins 2 inches / Dos alfileres con loop 2"
- Two headpins 1 inch / Dos alfileres con cabeza 1"
- Roundnose pliers / Pinzas con punta redonda

In the picture you can see the cutting pliers but there I didn’t use it.

- Instructions / Instrucciones:

- Insert the bead in the headpin.

- With the pliers turn the head pin in a 90° angle.

- Place the pliers in the tip of the eyepin and turn your wrist until you form a loop. It can take two turns.

- To make the earring part you will need something with a tubular shape like a pen, which is what I use, and the eyepin.

- Hold the eyepin against the pen and with the other hand turn the wire until you have the earring shape.

- Now we have to attach the two parts.
- Ahora hay que unir las dos partes.

- Open the loop of the earring side and insert the bead loop part. Close the loop.

- You are done! A new pair of earrings.
- Listo! Un Nuevo par de aretes.

How to crochet with the Plastic Bags – Como tejer con las Bolsas de Plástico

I will detail how to cut the bags to make the ball with which we will work. The good and original is that with this form of cut do not have to tie knots. After having the ball, we can use the technique of crochet to make baskets, bags and / or anything else you want. If a bag is not enough for our work, we tie a little knot making more bags as we do with the normal thread, or if we want to put a different color can also be done. Another technique is to cut strips and make little knots, and also this works, the little knots can server as ornaments, everything is a matter of taste.

Steps:
Pasos a seguir:

- Smooth out the bag
- Estira bien la bolsa.

- Cut the handles and bottom.

- Smooth out the bag again.
- Vuelve a estirar la bolsa y alísala bien.

- Fold the bag over itself, leaving 2 cms. without to fold.

- Cut the strips at a distance of 1.5 to 2 cms. among them, as thick or thin as you want. Cut until the part that is without to fold.

- Smooth out the fringes and hold the bag for the part that is without to fold.

- This space without cutting we are going to cut it diagonally, and so will be forming a single strip, the last strip is also cut in diagonal as was done with the first.

- Then we form the ball to avoid tangling and we can start, you can use the same stitches that you use to crochet any project.

- Recycling help the environment, so if you recycle the environment will thank you..!

Tutorial: How to make a light box/ Cómo hacer una caja para tomar fotos

By
prendasbyenid

A light box is a great and useful tool to take amazing pictures at home or in any place. So useful you cannot have to wait until daylight to take pictures. This allows you to take your pictures even at 3:00am in the night. So what are you waiting for? Grab your materials and let get started!

Materials / Materiales:

A box / Caja de cartón
White sheer fabric / Tela blanca transparente
Scissor / Tijeras
Glue / Pegamento

Instructions / Instrucciones:

First we have to prepare the box. Cut four (4) sides of the box; the top, the front and the two sides. Leave one inch for the border on each side and cut the rest. Don’t cut the base and the back of the box. You can use a scissor or a knife. (See pictures)
(Ver fotos)

Now is time to use the sheer fabric. There are three sides that need it, the top and the two sides. Measure them and cut one piece for each side. Glue them to each side. (please note that the front of the box is open so you can take the pictures)

Measure the cardboard so it’s exactly as the width of the box. This piece goes on top of the back and the base of the box but NOT BEND IT! It must have a curve. If the cardboard is too long you can bend it or cut it.

Now that your box is ready you will need three lamps one for the top and one to each side. The better bulb for this is one called Ottlite, but I use Daylite bulbs and works just fine. Sometimes I just use one lamp on top of the box and it works fine too.

Your light box is ready to use!!!
Y ya está lista para fotografiar!!!

Tutorial: How to make a magazine storage/ Como hacer un revistero

By
ArtbyRuth

I've been so inspired by other blogs, and reading magazines, that have ultimately given me ideas to keep on reusing objects and giving them a new use... that's how I got a new magazine holder!

And this was the inspiration!
Y esta fue la inspiración!

Lately magazines have many tips on recycling, and I personally like the idea , even though what I do does not have that great of an impact in conservation (considering that not many people care much for the environment yet) I do my best to push along my little grain of sand :). If you wanna make one, here you go, step by step.

Materials: 1 yard of Osnaburg 1/4 yard of colorful fabric (of your choice) 1 cereal box ( the kind that have two bags)

Materiales:

This project is really easy, if you don't have a sewing machine, you can do it by hand even thought it will take you a while longer, but it will look just as good in the end...

Measure and cut a rectangle 16" x 28" ( about 41cm x 70cm)
Mide y corta un rectangulo de 16" x 28" (son como 41cm x70cm aprox).

Flip it right side down, and sew on the long ends...

Choose a one of the sides that measures 16", joined to make a slit. fold it approximately half a centimeter and iron it so it's easier to sew...

Sew over the fold.
Cose sobre el dobles.

What you're going to do next is cut strips of colored cloth 2" wide (4cm) and you'll form wrinkles that will be held in place by pins as shown in the picture above, just fold it little by little...

You can be doing this as you sew, it will be faster and easier. Make a strip of wrinkles about 25".
25" (64cm)...

From the right side of the cloth, place your ruffles and hold them down with pins.

Sew once more over the same place where you sewed your ruffles ( so it looks like one) and join the ruffles to the fabric.

Now flip it over (ruffles bellow) and hold all the ends with pins apart from the part where you sewed around, it will end up as a cover...

Remove the pins and without flipping it right side out, place it inside your cereal box, fold the caps inwards so the box will be sturdier...

Slide it over until it's completely covered...
