Viva el 18 de Septiembe!

Cueca

Every September I remember the 18th and the movement of the train towards Olmué the taste of Wine Meringue and Chicha; I remember the smell of empanadas and eucalyptus; the mixed smell of barbecued meat and Guano … I also remember going to the Ramada of Cajon Grande and trying a few Cueca steps, I remember seeing the horses left at their own waiting for days at the barn...I remember the 18th full of Nostalgia, my Family, my friends, and since my land celebrates its autonomy and although our Independence took place long after, doesn’t matters! The first government established is the memory of a 200 years old Country…Viva Chile!

Chile,

Chile,

Land of the Mapuche warrior, of the good wine and the coveted copper. Long and narrow, from North to South, with its arid deserts and fertile green valleys. Land of songwriters and wholehearted poets that sing of illusion and hope. Dreamers and fighters with 200 years of living and thinking of love.

From the distance, I celebrate my 18th, cooking empanadas, and drinking my good wine while listening to a song.

Viva Chile M....! my missed land!
Empanadas Chilenas!

The independence of Mexico es the most important success, because is when Mexico decide not depend any more of Spain to be a free and sovereign country, but wasn't easy because to obtain the freedom they has to fight 11 years.

THE MOMENT OF INDEPENDENCE

Everything start beginning of 1800-1810 when the Colonial Society of the New Spain (rich people, indigenous), they doesn't give any more their own richness to Spain (who was call it "gachupines"), and the most important reason was the social inequality to start the independence.

In 1808, Napoleon invaded Spain, (the Spaniards was to busy fighting their own country) México found in this circumstance the opportunity to seek their independence from Spain. It was 1810, and their plan was to start the war on the 2nd of October in San Juan de los Lagos (Jalisco), but unfortunately, their plans were discovered for denounce to the government. Is when DON MIGUEL HIDALGO decide start the fight. At 5:00 of the morning of September 16, 1810,accompanied by several conspirators –Iganacio Allende, Doña Josefa Ortiz de Domínguez- rang the bell of his little church, calling to a mass, the people go over there and HIDALGO call everyone to fight for liberty. MEXICANS, VIVA MEXICO!! VIVA THE VIRGIN GUADALUPE!! VIVA FERNANDO VII!! y DIED THE BAD GOVERNMENT!! And with this was the beginning of the Independence War, which lasted 11 years.

And this is the moment that every 16th of September, Mexico celebrate decorating every main plaza of every town and city and the Zócalo (main plaza, in Mexico City). They re-enacted in every plaza or zócalo of Mexico that important moment. It is customary for the President to deliver the grito in Mexico City’s zócalo with the original bell rung by Hidalgo placed in the Zócalo building. The ceremony reaches the high point when the president said proudly the names of the heroes of the Independence, and everything end with the exciting VIVA MEXICO!! When the ceremony ends, the sky lights up with fireworks to show they are a free and independent nation.

Viva México y nuestras miembros mexicanas! / Viva México and our mexican members.
